The Neshoba Central Rockets traveled to Kosciusko Ms to face-off in the season opener against the Whippets. The Whippets and Rockets put in a big defensive effort in the first quarter that would end with both teams being scoreless. The second quarter the Rockets teamed sparked up by scoring the only touchdown In the second quarter making the score (0-7). The Rockets scored two touchdowns in the start of the second half before the Whippets ended the quarter with a fumble recovery touchdown (6-22). The Whippets scored one touchdown in the fourth quarter cutting the lead to (12-28). The Rockets closed the game by score one touchdown and stopping the whippets from scoring with the end score being (12-28). The Whippets open the season with their season record being (0-1), the Whippets will travel to Forest to face off against the Bodcats.
