A Day of Drama and Disputes Keeps Authorities on Their Toes Sunday in Attala

On Sunday, May 26, a series disturbances kept authorities in Attala busy.

Deputies were first called to a residence on Attala Road 4167 to remove an individual from the property.

Later, on Attala Road 3121, a dispute between a man in a wheelchair and a woman escalated when the man reportedly attempted to run her over. The woman chose to walk away to defuse the situation.

At Campbell’s Motel, an altercation between a man and a woman resulted in one person being checked by EMS and the other being transported to the Leake County Correctional Facility. Fortunately, no major injuries were reported.

Finally, a disturbance on Fairground Street was reported, with one individual leaving the property to end the fight.
