At 5:30 pm Kosciusko Police, MedStat EMS along with The Kosciusko Fire Department were called to Parkway Pure on Veteran’s Memorial Drive for a report of a gunshot victim. Units arrived on scene and found one male that had been shot and struck in the back by the bullet.
Kosciusko Police Chief Herbert Dew tells Breezy News that the shooting is believed to be accidental but said his department followed full protocol in the incident.
Investigators were called in to take charge of the scene. Crime scene tape was placed around the vehicle and witness questioned.
The patient was transport by ground ambulance to the University Medical Center priority two. The full extent of his injuries is not known.
