Sheriff Tim Nail reports that on April 06,2019, the Attala County Sheriff’s Department was called to Highway 12 West near Sallis for a report of a stolen excavator. An investigation led to the recovery of the excavator in Holmes County near Tchula and the equipment was returned to the owner. No charges have been filed at the present time, however the case remains under investigation.
