Several local community college football players have received honors from the Mississippi Association of Community College Conference (MACCC).
Across the three All-Conference teams, there are three athletes from Attala County.
From Coahoma Community College, sophomore defensive lineman Jerrell Erving was named to the All-MACCC Second Team Defense.
The former Kosciusko Whippet finished the season with 23 tackles, 3 tackles for loss, and 1 sack.
Erving’s high school teammate at Kosciusko Tyran Mosely, now a freshman receiver at Itawamba Community College, was named All-MACCC Honorable Mention.
Mosley completed his freshman season with 25 receptions for 406 yards (16.1 YPC) and 6 touchdowns. He also had four kick returns for 122 yards.
Finally, Holmes Community College kicker Dan Lindsay was named All-MACCC Honorable Mention.
Lindsay, a graduate of Central Holmes Christian School, completed his season 4/5 on field goal attempts, including the game winner against Itawamba Community College, and 29/30 on extra points.
