David Hull, 21, of Attala County, has been arrested and charged with arson following a domestic disturbance that occurred Tuesday morning.
Deputies with the Attala County Sheriff’s Office responded to the incident just after 9:30 a.m. after receiving reports of a dispute between a mother and her son.
The Attala County Fire Department was also dispatched when it was reported that Hull set a mattress on fire inside the home.
The fire extinguished itself before causing further damage, and no injuries were reported.
Hull fled the scene before authorities arrived but was later taken into custody and booked into the Leake County Correctional Facility.
