Attala County man dies in weekend wreck

An Attala County man was killed in a weekend car accident in Scott County.

The three car wreck happened around 6:00 pm Saturday, Nov. 11 on Hwy 25.

According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol, a Toyota Camry and Toyota Tundra traveling south collided with a Chevrolet 1500 pickup truck that was stopped on the highway for an unknown reason.

The driver of the Chevrolet, Richard Harlos, 60, of Ethel died.

The drivers of the other two vehicles were identified as Demando Mingo, 45, of Philadelphia, and Thomas Freeny, 80, of Brandon.

The crash remains under investigation by the MHP.
