Attala Emergency Responders Called to Multiple Crashes on Monday

On Monday, September 23, emergency responders were called to three separate vehicle accidents in Attala County.

At 2:30 a.m., Attala Deputies, Mississippi Highway Patrol, and EMS were dispatched to a two-vehicle crash on Hwy 14 E near the Attala/Choctaw line. One vehicle fled the scene, and the other rolled into a ditch. No major injuries were reported.

Later, an 18-wheeler clipped an Attala County Deputy’s vehicle while the deputy blocked the intersection of Hwy 12 and Veterans Memorial Dr for a funeral escort. No one was injured.

In a third incident, a vehicle collided with a school bus on Attala Rd. 2111. The Attala County Fire Department, McCool Volunteers, and EMS responded. There were still several children aboard the bus at the time of the crash. Fortunately, no one was injured.
