Attala First Responders Busy on Thanksgiving Day

Thanksgiving Day, November 23, 2023


Attala Central Fire Department, EMS, and Attala County Deputies were dispatched to a one-vehicle crash on Attala Rd. 4171 about a mile from the VFW at 7:25 a.m.  One person was transported to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries and the vehicle was towed from the scene.

Kosciusko Police were asked to remove a trespasser from Valero on Hwy 12 just after 1 p.m.

Attala Central Fire Department was dispatched to a home on Hwy 19 S near Attala Rd. 1154 at approximately 8:42 p.m. for an 18-wheeler on fire.  The vehicle was in the front yard near the home and was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived on scene.  The fire is believed to have been electrical.  The only damage reported was to the vehicle, which was a total loss.

Attala County Deputies responded to a call reporting a domestic disturbance in progress at a residence on Attala Rd. 3231/Sandhill Rd. at 9:13 p.m.
