The Attala County Sheriff’s Office is offering security training to local churches Sheriff Tim Nail announced in a press release Monday.

Nail said his office will provide training and information related to security at regular church services and other church related functions.

The training will be provided at no cost from the Sheriff’s Office, but churches may have to purchase materials and equipment used during training.

Nail said his office is also willing to speak with churches on the Castle Doctrine and home security.

Any church interested in learning more about training should appoint one person to contact Sylvia Lawrence at 662-289-5556 by Nov. 24.
