The City of Kosciusko has announced Municipal Court Amnesty Days.
During the designated time period, fees for Contempt of Court ($394.25) and Failure to Appear ($244.25) will be waived.
“…if somebody owes old fines, say they have contempt of court charges…we can remove those contempt of court fees you just come and pay what your fine is,” said Kosciusko Mayor Tim Kyle during the most recent episode of Minute with the Mayor. “That way nobody gets arrested, there’s no warrant for you.”
Kyle would go on to say this is a good way for people to get their fines settled, plus allow the city to get those fines and citations off the books.
Amnesty Days will run from March 17 – April 11.
