A representative from the City of Kosciusko may soon be knocking on your door to ask you to fill out a survey.
Kosciusko Mayor Tim Kyle said the the city is required to conduct the surveys as part of the application process for a Community Development Block Grant.
“If some of our guys with the city ask you do to a survey, please do that because if we don’t have these surveys, we aren’t even eligible for this grant,” said Kyle. “It’s a few little questions. It asks how many people live in the home and what your annual total salary [income] is.”
According to Kyle, the main area of focus stretches from Martin Luther King Jr. Drive east to the Attala County Coliseum and south to Jefferson Street (see map below).
If the city is awarded the grant, the money would be used several sewer lines that need to be repaired or replaced.
