The city of Kosciusko is moving ahead with a grant program to help some local families rebuild or renovate their homes.
“We’ve got four homes as of right now that will be rehabbed, and we’ll have two that will be totally reconstructed,” said Mayor Tim Kyle.
Kyle says the city has been busy lately lining up professional services contractors in connection with the Mississippi Home Corporation’s HOME grant.
“For the legal services, Adams Law was awarded the contract for that. Advanced Environmental Consultants does asbestos and lead testing. And Precision Land Services will do the survey work on those properties.”
The mayor says it’s not clear at this point how soon the work could begin.
