Several upgrades are on the way at the City of Kosciusko’s parks.
The city plans to put roof structures over some of the bleachers and press boxes at Hugh Ellard Park as it finishes up an overhaul of those ball fields. Work will also begin soon on putting a new bridge between two fields.
Mayor Tim Kyle says eight tournaments have already been booked for those fields and the revenue those visitors bring in is a shot in the arm for Kosciusko.
At Jason Niles Park, a pickleball complex will be built near the existing tennis courts and those courts will all be repainted and striped.
Kyle said the city is also planning to resurface the basketball courts at Northside and Aponaug Parks.
