Update: BOLO alert not connected to Attala County vehicle

Update: A spokesman for the Starkville police department tells Breezy News that the vehicle and tag number reported earlier this morning are not the objects of a BOLO alert connected with a shooting in Starkville.

The spokesman said the vehicle may have been investigated and/or stopped while authorities were searching for suspects, which might have caused dispatch to accidentally send out a BOLO alert.

Starkville police are still investigating the shooting, but did not confirm if the suspects had any connection to Attala County.

 

5:15 am: At 10:56 pm Attala Deputies and City Police were notified of a shooting that took place in Starkville, Ms. Officers were asked to be on the look out of two white males in a white 2015 Nissan A2S with an Attala County tag reading “ATT 729” One male is said to be wearing all white clothing and the second is believed to have a ponytail. Officers advised that they should be considered armed and dangerous. If you see this vehicle you are urged to contact the Starkville Police Department at (662) 323-4134 or you local 911 operator.
