Breck Riley to join State Championships Radio Network for broadcasts of all 7 MHSAA football state championship games

For the 2nd year in a row, Boswell Media’s Breck Riley will join the State Championships Radio Network to broadcast all seven MHSAA football state championship games.

“I’m thrilled to be a part of the network once again this season,” said Riley. “It’s always a good time when you get to work with some of Mississippi’s best radio talent.”

Mississippi best broadcasters will provide statewide radio coverage on ESPN 105.9 The Zone (WRKS) in Jackson and on all Mississippi Public Broadcasting stations around the state.

Riley will serve as host of The Pine Straw of Mississippi Tailgate Show and the Visit Corinth Halftime Show during the broadcasts.

The Pine Straw of Mississippi Tailgate Show will feature interviews with broadcasters, coaches, and other notable guests.The Visit Corinth Halftime Show will focus on game recaps and stats.

Anchoring play-by-play coverage for the broadcasts will be Ben Ingram, Mississippi native and voice of the Atlanta Braves.

“I absolutely love getting to come back home to be a part of these broadcasts,” said Ingram. “Mississippi loves its high school football and providing this coverage across the entire state is a great way to wrap up the season.”

Additional play-by-commentary, color commentary, and sideline coverage will be provided by:

  • Jared Shotts – Voice of the Germantown Mavericks and owner of Shotts Media.
  • Jake Wimberly – Voice of the Brandon Bulldogs and host of The Drive on ESPN 105.9 The Zone.
  • Bryan Eubank – Voice of the Jackson Academy Raiders and producer for The Raider Network.
  • Caleb Hamill – Voice of the Presbyterian Christian School (PCS) Bobcats.
  • Brandon Davis – PA announcer/color analyst for the Warren Central Vikings.
  • Josh West – Voice of the Tri-County Academy Rebels & 20+ year broadcasting veteran
  • Cliff Barker – Color analyst for the Tri-County Academy Rebels & Holmes Community College Bulldogs

This year, the state championship games are being held at Vaught Hemingway Stadium on the campus of the University of Mississippi in Oxford.

The 1A & 5A championship games will be played Thursday, Nov. 30, the 2A & 6A championship games will be played Friday, Dec. 1, with the 4A-3A-7A games set for Saturday, Dec. 2.
