Brush Fire in New Hope Community

SHARE NOW

With strong winds today, it’s no surprise that a brush fire erupted.  About two p.m. on Sunday afternoon, firemen from Attala Station One and Providence Volunteer Fire Departments responded to a brush fire in the New Hope community.  At one point, visibility on the closest roadway was down to less than one hundred yards.  Two occupied homes were being threatened, but quick action by responding firemen had the situation under control in less than an hour.
