Attala County Deputies and Kosciusko Police responded to several incidents on Monday, May 19.
Deputies were first called to Hwy 12 East around 6:40 a.m. for a cow in the roadway. Later, around 9 a.m., they assisted with traffic control near Dollar General in Sallis after a log truck lost its load. No injuries were reported. Deputies also responded to multiple reports of a horse on Hwy 35 South near Lindsay’s junkyard, but no animal was found.
Kosciusko Police handled two minor wrecks—one at the Post Office parking lot at 9:35 a.m., where one vehicle reportedly left the scene, and another at the library at 1:15 p.m. No injuries were reported in either incident.
