Career Tech Students Study Animal Genetics

SHARE NOW

First year agriculture students at the Kosciusko-Attala Career Tech Center are studying animal reproduction and genetics.  To help understand the process, they have incubated eggs to learn about the gestation process of chickens.  They have also learned to detect the embryo heartbeat inside the eggs before hatching. Pictured is Johnathan Lindsey using a stethoscope to listen for the embryo’s heartbeat while Jersey Reed looks on.
