Around 11:00 am Monday, police were called to the parking lot of a local shopping center to handle an unruly chicken.
The pestering poultry was reportedly causing problems for bystanders at 200 Veteran’s Memorial Drive near Hibbett Sports.
The eggcited animal appeared to be more docile when Breezy News arrived on scene.
KPD officers were called to the scene due to the Animal Control officer being out of town.
No fowl play is suspected, but authorities did find an egg in the parking lot. They are trying to determine if it was there first.
A motive behind the shopping center parking lot rampage is unclear, but it’s believed that the chicken just wanted to cross the road.
