Christmas Day Emergency Response Highlights in Attala County

Attala County emergency services responded to multiple incidents on Christmas Day, starting at 12:30 a.m. when the Attala County Fire Department extinguished a rekindled house fire on Hwy 43 South.

At 9:27 a.m., deputies were dispatched to a two-vehicle crash on Williamsville Rd. near the churches, with no injuries reported. Just after 1 p.m., deputies responded to a domestic disturbance on King St. in Ethel.

Later that afternoon, deputies, Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP), and EMS responded to a two-vehicle crash on Hwy 19 South in the Williamsville area. No injuries were reported.

At 8 p.m., another two-vehicle collision occurred on Hwy 12 East near Abraham Chapel Church. One individual reported arm and back pain and was checked out by EMS at the scene.
