City Fire Responds to House Fire on Coleman (Audio)

City Fire responded to a house fire before midnight Sunday evening.

At 11:36 pm Kosciusko Police, MedStat EMS along with City Fire responded to the 100 block of Coleman Street for a report of a structure fire. Dispatch said no one was in the house. Units arrived on scene and notified responding firefighters that light smoke was showing from the exterior. Firefighters quickly contained the flames. MedStat was dispatched in case medical services were needed but no injuries were reported.

Chief Burdine with the Kosciusko Fire Department tells Breezy News that the home sustained moderate damage from the fire. Most of the damage was contained to the hallway and laundry area.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Kosciusko Fire Department.
