A group of cyclists from Civil Rides will meet at the Kosciusko Museum and Information Center Friday morning at 8:30 for the last leg of a ride that began at the National Civil Rights Museum in Memphis, Tennessee, and will conclude at the Mississippi Civil Rights Museum in Jackson.
The ride is being held in conjunction with the 50th Anniversary of the assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr.
Civil Rides is sponsoring the ride, which is raising awareness and funds for “Together For Hope.”
“Together For Hope” is an organization that works in the 301 most poverty stricken rural counties in America.
Organizers for the event said 18 cyclists are riding the entire ride, which started April 3.
The cyclists plan to pick up 10 to 15 more cyclists in Kosciusko who will ride to the museum in Jackson.
