Cyclist Struck by Vehicle Friday Morning

Update: The cyclist is reported to have only minor injuries.


A cyclist was struck by a passenger vehicle this morning just before 8 a.m. on the entrance to the Natchez Trace Parkway near the Kosciusko Information Center.

The cyclist is said to be responsive, but injuries are currently unknown.

    The NTP should require all bicyclists to have the flashing beacons when on the parkway. I don’t know if the one hit today had them or not but I know when I’m traveling the NTP it really helps me to see them at a distance.
