An elevated risk for dangerous heat is in effect in our area. Dangerous heat stress conditions are expected over much of the area again Wednesday, as afternoon heat index values climb to between 105-110 degrees, according to the National Weather Service in Jackson. High Temperatures are expected in the mid 90’s. Heat exhaustion is likely with prolonged periods outdoors.
