At 6:30 am Attala County Fire Department was called to a residence on Highway 440 for a report of a transformer on fire. Firefighters arrived on scene and report that there were no flames showing. Captain Tim Cox tells Breezy News that limbs from a tree were blowing against the line causing it to spark. Central Electric was called for repairs. No injuries were reported.
At 7:30 am Kosciusko Police and City Fire responded Dialysis Center for a report of the smell of smoke. Units arrived on scene and noted that there was no smoke showing from the structure. Captain Gant tells Breezy News that after a short investigation firefighters found that the cause was found to be a light ballast. No injuries were reported.
