Emergency Dispatches: April 3, 2018

At 2:22 pm City Fire responded to a report of a vehicle that was smoking on the 100 bock of Chatwin Street. The caller said no flames were showing.

At 2:30 pm Kosciusko Police and City Fire were dispatched to Harpers Laundry on Natchez Street for a report of a transformer on fire.

Emergency personnel arrived on scene and reported that there were no flames showing but the power was out. Kosciusko Water and Light was called to repair the damage.

At 2:40 pm Kosciusko Police that were assisting with traffic control at 12 and Natchz reported a two vehicle MVA. No injuries were reported.

At 8:47 pm Attala Deputies, MedStat EMS, The Mississippi Highway Patrol along with Attala Fire Central were dispatched to Highway 35 north near Sugar Creek for a report of a one vehicle MVA.

At 8:52 pm Attala Deputies, MedStat EMS, The Mississippi Highway Patrol along with Attala Fire Central were dispatched to Highway 12 west near the Country Club for a report of a one vehicle MVA. No injuries were reported.

At 9:10 City Police and City Fire were notifiedof a tree on a power line at West Adams Street and highway 12 west.

Multiple trees were reported down as the storm moved through the county. A few locations included’

two trees down on highway 35 north near Sugar Creek
Highway 12 west near the County Club
500 block of North Natchez Street.
highway 19 north near Spingdale Church
Poower line down  at Attala Road 4101 and 4112
One Kings Street in Ethel. The caller reported a tree down on a house and a vehicle. No injuries were reported.
