Emergency Dispatches: December 31, 2018

At 5:30 am Attala Deputies, Providence and Zama Volunteers along with Attala Fire Central Station were dispatched to a report of an 18 wheeler fire. The caller said it was located on highway 19 south at the highway 14 intersection. Dispatch advised that the truck was hauling milk.  Units arrived on scene and reported that there was light smoke coming from the rear of the big rig. The east bound lane of traffic was block while emergency crews worked the incident. Authorities tell Breezy News that the driver was able to extinguish a brake fire before firefighters arrived on scene. No injuries were reported.

At 8:23 am Kosciusko Police, City Fire and MedStat was called to the clubhouse behind Wendy’s for a report of a white female standing by the road with a knife.

At 8:21 pm Attala Deputies along with Attala Fire Central Station responded to a residence on highway 19 south for a report of a vehicle fire. The caller said they have it almost out but wanted firefighters to respond.
