At 6:54 am Attala Deputies, MedStat EMS, The Mississippi Highway Patrol along with Attala Fire and Rescue responded to a report of a one vehicle accident on highway 12 west near the new bypass. Units arrived on scene to find the vehicle off the roadway. The auto had a blowout causing the driver to lose control. No injuries were reported.
At 7:24 am Zama and Providence Volunteers along with Attala Fire Central Station were dispatched to Attala Road 5047 for a report of a power line sparking. Firefighters arrived on scene and notified responding units that there was a line down and it was live. No fire was reported. Entergy was called to repair the downed line.
