At 6:57 am Attala Deputies, MedStat EMS, Carmack Volunteers along with Attala Fire were dispatched to a residence on the 1200 section of Highway 35 north for a report of a fire alarm. Dispatch made contact with the home owner and was informed that the house was full of smoke but they were unable to locate the source. Firefighters arrived on scene and after a short investigation found that the smoke was coming from the furnace. Power was cut to the unit a professional could be called to repair the unit. No injures and no damage was reported.
