At 1:41 pm Kosciusko Police were called to a business on the 800 block of South Natchez Street for a report of a counterfeit bill that was used.
At 3:12 pm the Attala County Fire Department was dispatched to Attala Road 2126 in the White Planes Community for a report of the smell of smoke. Firefighters arrived on scene and found a short in an electric water heater. Power was cut to the unit until repairs could be made. No injuries were reported.
