At 4:40 am Attala Deputies, MedStat EMS, The Mississippi Highway Patrol along with Attala Fire and Rescue responded to a report of a MVA on highway 35 north. The caller said it was located in the sawmill flats. Emergency personnel arrived on scene to find a box truck off the roadway that had hit a ditch and driveway. The driver told emergency personnel he swerved to avoid hitting a deer. No injuries were reported.
At 2:02 pm Kosciusko Police, MedStat EMS and City Fire responded to a report of a minor auto accident on highway 12 east. The caller said it was located in front of Sunflower. Units arrived on scene and notified responding units that the cars were in the parking lot. No injuries were reported.
At 7:19 pm Attala Deputies, Sallis Volunteers along with Attala Fire and Rescue responded to a report of the smell of smoke in a home. The caller said it was located on Attala Road 4045. Firefighters arrived on scene and reported that there was no smoke showing on the exterior of the structure. No injuries were reported.
