At 5:10 pm Attala Deputies notified dispatch that there was a tree limb on a power line on highway 411 in McCool. The Attala County Fire and McCool volunteers was called to the location. The power lines were still hot and the limbs were smoking. No injuries were reported.
At 7:27 pm Attala Deputies and the Mississippi Highway Patrol were called to highway 43 north approximately 9 miles from the city limits for a report of a one vehicle MVA. The caller said they hit a deer. There were no inures they simply needed a report.
