Ethel’s Corey Parish, head coach for basketball, powerlifting, and track & field, has been honored by the Mississippi High School Activities Association (MHSAA), in collaboration with the Mississippi Army National Guard, as part of its “Salute to Coaches” campaign.
The initiative honors coaches who exemplify core values and positively influence student-athletes both on and off the field.
“Coach Parish is the embodiment of selfless service,” reads the statement from the MHSAA. “Whether at a track meet, powerlifting event, or basketball game, he’s known for supporting not just his own athletes, but opposing teams as well-helping with equipment, offering encouragement, and sharing advice. From providing meals and clothing to lifting others up, Coach Parish leads with heart and humility in every setting.”
Sumrall High School Cross Country Coach Kyle Bozeman was also recognized alongside Parish.
