The Kosciusko Exchange Club honored the 2018/19 Youths of the Month on Tuesday night during their annual banquet. Each youth of the month submitted an essay based on the topic “How am I a Catalyst in my Community?” Madeline McCowan was selected as the Youth of the Year receiving the William Roby Scholarship in the mount of $1000. Dasha’ Steen was selected as the ACE award winner, receiving a $250 scholarship from the Exchange Club and Citizens National Bank. Also honored was Randall and Beverly Kelly for their 30 years of dedication and service to our club. April is Child Abuse Awareness Month and that is the Exchange Club’s National Project. The guest speaker was Tricia Rogers with Advocates of Freedom. She spoke on human trafficking, ways to help keep your children safe and warning signs that someone you may know could be affected. With her was a survivor of human trafficking, who told her story and how she was able to escape.
