Fatal Crash on Highway 12 in Attala County

Attala County emergency services, including the Fire Department, Deputies, EMS, and Mississippi Highway Patrol, responded to a two-vehicle crash on Highway 12 West near the new bypass at approximately 12:29 p.m. on Thursday, June 13, 2024.

Both vehicles were traveling westbound when they collided, resulting in the death of 29-year-old Hunter Wofford of Kosciusko.

The driver of the other vehicle involved in the crash reportedly sustained no serious injuries.

Mississippi Highway Patrol is leading the investigation into the accident.

    Prayers for the family. We were held up in traffic on hwy 12 today. My heart goes out to the family. We saw the vehicles.
