The identity of the deceased has been released. Josie Claire Meggs, 22, of Kosciusko was pronounced dead at the scene by Attala County Coroner Sam Bell.
A single-vehicle rollover crash on Highway 12 East near the Choctaw county line in McCool claimed the life of one person early Friday morning.
The crash occurred at approximately 2:40 a.m. on Friday, June 13. The name of the deceased will be released once the family has been notified.
Emergency responders included the Attala County Fire Department, Attala County deputies, Mississippi Highway Patrol, EMS, and McCool volunteers.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by Mississippi Highway Patrol.
