Gov. Bryant proud of Mississippi’s workforce


Political speaking wrapped up Thursday at the Neshoba County Fair. Governor of Mississippi Phil Bryant took to the podium Thursday.

Bryant focused on the positive impact of an improving economy in Mississippi with top manufactures Ashley Furniture and Nissan.

Bryant recognized more of the state’s positive achievements, like a 4.7% unemployment rate. Bryant also showed his support for President Trump in the bringing home of 55 soldiers remains from North Korea.

“The unemployment rate for Mississippi is currently 4.7%, that’s historically the lowest level in Mississippi’s history, When I came into office unemployment was at 9.4%” stated Gov. Bryant.

“We want our children to have a job, to go to work, to live the American Dream,” continued Gov. Bryant.
