Attala Central Fire Department was dispatched to a woods and grass fire on Attala Rd. 5213 on Thursday, October 26th at approximately 1:35 p.m. The woods fire was near a residence but firefighters worked to contain the blaze and kept the home safe. MS Forestry Commission was called to assist and dug a fire lane around the flames. The cause of the fire is currently undetermined.
