JACKSON, MS – June 15, 2025 – Mississippi Blood Services (MBS) is issuing an urgent call to action for residents across the state to help address a critical blood shortage through a series of upcoming mobile blood drives. The initiative, announced on June 12, 2025, aims to bolster the state’s blood supply with events scheduled from June 16 to June 19.
The blood drives will take place at various locations, including Walmart in Kosciusko, Ackerman Town Hall, Food Giant in Okolona, Winston Medical Center in Louisville, Starkville Nutrition in Starkville, and Woody’s Stop N Shop in Noxapater. Each event offers specific hours for donation, with times ranging from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM, providing ample opportunity for community members to contribute.
All donors will receive a thank-you gift at the time of donation. Additionally, every blood donor from June 1 to June 30 will be entered into a drawing to win a 12×16 shed, courtesy of Shiver’s Buildings. More details are available at msblood.com/shed-giveaway.
MBS is encouraging the public to invite friends, family, and coworkers to participate, emphasizing that the need is greater than ever.
