On Saturday, November 25 at 4:10 p.m., Attala County Deputies and Park Rangers were dispatched to the Natchez Trace Parkway near mile marker 173 where an RV struck a deer. No one was reported to be injured, but the roadway was partially blocked.
At 5:20 p.m., Kosciusko Police were alerted to a vehicle that struck another in a parking lot near Aaron’s on Hwy 12 and left the scene.
At 7:18 p.m., Attala Central Fire Department and Carmack Volunteers were dispatched to a large woods fire on Attala Road 3011 where the caller reported that the entire hillside was ablaze.
Kosciusko Police and EMS were dispatched to a call reporting that someone on Arrowhead Dr. was stabbed just before 9 p.m. The person was later taken to the hospital for very minor injuries.
Kosciusko Police responded to reports of a disturbance in progress at Hickory Hills Apartments on Hwy 12 W at 9:32 p.m.
Attala Central Fire Department, EMS, Attala Deputies, and MS Hwy Patrol were dispatched to a one-vehicle crash on Hwy 43 S in the Thomastown area at 11:22 p.m. The vehicle reportedly left the roadway and rolled, trapping one person inside. That person was transported to the hospital for their injuries.
