Investigators are still trying to find the hit and run driver who struck and killed a Carthage man as he walked along Highway 35 last Friday morning. Highway Patrol Sgt. Jameka Moore says Craig Dixon, 32, was found lying on the side of the highway near the Redwater community.
“We were unable to determine a make or model or direction of travel” (of the vehicle that hit him.)
But he says they’re hoping for some leads in the investigation.
“Any assistance from the public, any tips or anyone that may have seen anything in that area at that time of morning, we’d appreciate any calls, any tips that we could receive to help us track down this individual.”
The hit and run happened around 6 Friday morning on the highway near Lillie Billy Road.
