A single wide mobile home was lost in an early morning fire off Stonewall Rd. on Wednesday, November 29, 2023.
Attala Central Fire Department, Ethel Volunteers, and McCool Volunteers arrived to find the home fully engulfed in flames.
Attala Central Fire Chief, Tim Cox says the person living in the home awoke to smoke filling the room and quickly fled the home without injury.
The home was a total loss, and the cause of the fire is undetermined.
