The Houston HIlltoppers came to Kosciusko Friday evening to play their second game. With a 6-2 record and a win against Kosciusko on Monday, they hope to add to their winning record. The Kosciusko Whippets, now 6-3, hoped to get back on Houston for their Monday, first regional game, loss.
The Whippets came out hard, scoring four run in the first inning, 4-0. They added a run in the second. The Hilltoppers opened their scoring with two runs in the third. After an incident on the field, the game was ended with a Hilltopper forfeit. At the time of this writing, the final score was up in the air due to regulations.
Bennie Powell was named the Autumn Ridge Player of the Game. Now, that’s something to smile about!
