Hunting Camp Fire in Zama Friday Afternoon

At 4:10 p.m. on Friday, December 27, the Attala County Fire Department and Zama volunteer firefighters responded to a fire at a hunting camp on Attala Road 5015.

Crews were able to save roughly half of the structure, though it sustained significant heat and smoke damage. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

At the time of the incident, the occupants were out hunting, and no injuries were reported.
