Kosciusko aldermen vote to repeal one-way street ordinance

The Kosciusko Board of Aldermen voted Tuesday night to repeal the one-way street ordinance (Ordinance 656) from June 2016.

The decision was made at the recommendation of a committee made up of local business owners and select government officials.

The committee was tasked with studying the effects the one way streets had on commerce and traffic in the downtown area.

Several business owners on the committee claimed the change to one way streets negatively affected their businesses

The repeal will revert the streets back to two-way and also remove bike lanes on most of the streets.
