Several local baseball and softball teams are moving on to the 2nd round of the MHSAA playoffs.
Both Kosciusko baseball and softball advanced to the next round with sweeps over Senatobia.
The No. 1 seeded Whippets baseball team will face off next against Newton County, with Kosciusko hosting game 1 Friday, April 25 at 7:00 pm. Game 2 will be at Decatur Saturday, April 26 at 7:00 pm.
The Kosciusko Whippets softball team will face West Lauderdale in its 2nd round series. The team will play on the road at Collinsville Thursday, April 24 (7:00 pm) and back home Friday, April 25 (7:00 pm).
The top seeded Ethel Tigers softball team will play Lumberton this weekend. The Tigers will host Game 1 Thursday, April 24 at 6:00 pm and will go on the road to Lumberton Friday, April 25 at 6:00 pm for Game 2.
