On Friday morning, the Kosciusko Police Department executed a narcotics search warrant at a residence on Thornton Street. During the search, authorities uncovered felony quantities of narcotics.
Peyton Armstrong, a 19-year-old from Kosciusko, was arrested and charged with felony possession of a controlled substance. He is currently being held at the Leake County Correctional Facility.
The Kosciusko Police Department expressed gratitude to the Leake County Sheriff’s Office, Attala County Sheriff’s Office, and MBI for their assistance during the operation. The department remains committed to combating the sale and use of illegal narcotics within city limits.

November 15, 2024 at 7:10 PMI would like to clarify that this bust was Marijuana smh. But it’s legal to sell at not one or two nut multiple stores in Kosciusko. It is the EXACT product sold in JARS at the vape stores Kosciusko allowed t0 be open. They don’t even know the difference in cbd weed and weed. Just thought I would clarify this post since they made it sound like it was over hard drugs. Smh.
