Kosciusko native and former Whippet/Holmes CC Bulldog Jacob Peeler will be a halftime guest during the Boswell Media Sports’ broadcast of the Holmes CC vs East Central CC MACCC Semifinal playoff game.
Peeler, who is currently the wide receivers coach and recruiting cooradinator at the University of Missouri, played for Holmes the last time the Bulldogs made the playoffs (2002). That Holmes team would go on to win the MACJC Championship that season.
A 2002 graduate of Kosciusko High School, Peeler went on to finish his playing career at Louisiana Tech after leaving Holmes.
His previous coaching stops include Texas State, Ole Miss, the University of California – Berkeley and Itawamba Community College.
In March of 2023, Peeler was inducted into the Mississippi Community College Sports Hall of Fame.
Saturday’s Holmes CC game is set for a 2:00 pm kickoff in Decatur.
