Kosciusko softball’s Anna Grace Whitehead has been nominated for “Mississippi Softball Player of the Year” by the The Clarion-Ledger.
Whitehead is one of 12 players nominated for the honor.
The posting for Whippets’ senior pitcher reads “Whitehead is hitting .500 at the plate with 26 hits and 23 RBIs. She also has a 2.24 ERA with 117 strikeouts in 81.1 innings pitched.”
Whitehead and the Whippets are currently in the 2nd round of the 4A playoffs, facing off against North Pontotoc this weekend.
